Cafe Piquet

Cafe Piquet- Cuban Cuisine
Cuban food: this type of food was influenced by Spanish, African, and Caribbean cuisines. Because Cuba has a tropical climate, fruit and root vegetables are often used in dishes and meals. A dish typically found is also rice and beans; this can be served with different types of meat. Cubans enjoy tamales, which are made with flour, shortening, and pork meat. Cuba is also famous for their sandwiches typically served at lunch.

The restaurant is in a decent area and in a nice building. Cuban music played throughout the restaurant giving it a good atmosphere. The waiters and manager were really nice and welcomed us with a smile. I ordered the Cuban sampler. The only things I enjoyed were the stuffed potato and the two tamales, but even those I could have easily not eaten. The empanada and two pastries were not good and tasted plain. I left these two things still on my plate and left the restaurant still hungry. So I did not particularly enjoy Cafe Piquet.
